Golden Temple (Harmandar Sahab): the crown Jewel of Amritsar

The Golden Temple is a Pilgrimage site visited by people all over the world. In Punjabi, we refer to it as “Harmandar Sahab”, which means “Abode of God”. It was built during the time of Guru Ramdas and Guru Arjan Das in 1589.

Along with being a Pilgrimage site, it is also a hotspot for photographers and photography enthusiasts. The Golden Temple looks ethereal at every time of the day. Here I’ll be showing you both the views.

I consider myself lucky because I got to click a picture with the lights on. We went at 6 AM and the lights were switched off just after I clicked the photo.
